Mike

Mike

The 'Chunk band is led by singer/songwriter Mike, who plays rhythm & lead guitar influenced by Pat Metheny. Mike seems to have been in bands all his life and can play about a thousand cover songs. He might have written as many of his own, too.

Domenic

Domenic

Grew up with rock 'n roll and diverse musical influences trickled down from many siblings, primarily from brother Carmen who could play like Clapton. Pursuing different styles of music, Dom became addicted to the Allman Brothers and realizing he had to get real with the guitar. One day he met Mike and next thing you know they co-founded the band. Dom keeps one foot firmly planted in a heap of rock & blues at all times playing stylistic leads, contributing vocals, writing, and adding Mojo as need

Veronica

Veronica

Veronica grew up listening to a wide variety of music from Prince and Genesis, to Rage Against the Machine, Sound Garden, Deftones, and 311. Veronica is operatically trained on vocals and her resume includes things like singing in Beethoven's Egmont. She also enjoys singing Sinatra era jazz, and was introduced to the jazz world by playing Ella Fitzgerald in a musical. Veronica also plays the flute and is willing to admit she went to Marching Band camp.

Bob

Bob

Stones and the blues were his earliest influences (well, after his Monkee’s phase). He was a young rocker in junior high but didn’t keep it up. Started again in church, yes he was a holy roller, playing mostly guitar. But, he was a “closet” bass player and would jump at the chance to fill in on bass. Eventually got out of that wacky church and started playing in bands again. He did a stint as the bassist in the surf band the Wray Guns, fun music. Finally found his musical family in Mojo Chunk!

Loren

Loren

Loren was originally inspired by the sounds of Stomp Out Loud as a kid, but did not have access to very many scaffolds. Once she tired of pots and pans, she took up concert percussion in school. Eventually, her incredibly patient parents got her a drum kit and the rest was history.

John

John

John grew up on the Stanley Brothers and the Grateful Dead. He plays classical guitar, bluegrass banjo and rockin keys. He's cool as a cucumber and sharp as a whip!

Mary

Mary

Honorary member and special guest vocalist always adds a blast of mojo when she joins us onstage. Involved with music all her life, Mary grew up singing in folk groups and in theater, was with the Franco Gallelli band, and has fun with her long-running Maria Cantabella Karaoke.
